Making Tax Digital for Sage ERP 1000 & Line 500
Five Go Live are working with Sage and our clients to ensure that all loyal and committed users of Sage Line 500 and Sage ERP 1000 in any of its various versions are able to comply with the Government “Making Tax Digital” initiative which comes mandatory in April 2019, which in real terms is not that far off!

Statement from Sage:
Dear Customers
We are committed to helping customers adapt their technology to ensure that the transition to the new Making Tax Digital (MTD) system, mandatory from April 2019, is a smooth one. All future versions of Sage ERP 1000 will be compatible with the HMRC software. For Sage ERP 1000 v3, a solution will be provided for Service Pack 12 (SP12) and beyond, and for Sage ERP 1000 v4, Service Pack 9 (SP9) and beyond. A solution will also be provided for Line 500 v7.1. We will deliver these solutions in a timescale for customers to assess when is most convenient to upgrade to these product releases.
However, we understand that not all customers using previous versions of Line 500 will be in a position to upgrade before April 2019. With this in mind Sage is working on a solution to provide customers on previous versions the ability to comply with the MTD mandate without upgrading in the short term. We are collecting and reviewing feedback on this at the moment and will be in touch in due course with the options available.
We will support our customers every step of the way and continue to work closely with HMRC to guide you in your move to Making Tax Digital compliance.
